Phyllonorycter is a very numerous genus belonging to the Gracillariidae family. One of its most distinctive species is P. roboris which, as all the other species, is a leafminer. The larvae feeds on oak and my records are from Quercus pyrenaica. It's poorly known in Portugal with only 6 records, half of them being from 1905.
